Located 20 minutes east of Kings Island (if you are from Ohio, you know what we’re talking about!), Bonnybrook Farms boasts one of the prettiest escapes from the city. You wind down country roads, up and down hairpin turns, and arrive at a breathtaking plot of land.
Bonnybrook Farms sits on 350+ acres. They grow a variety of crops as well as maintain a top notch horse training facility. They also regularly compete in horse shows. Visitors of the farm can see the adjacent facility and all the horses happily prancing around.
When the hot days of summer give way to the cooler temperatures of fall, things really get going at Bonnybrook. Their abundance of trees develop that gorgeous fall foliage. Hot apple cider smells permeate the gathering barn. Hayrides, corn maze paths, and even high-flying pumpkins take center stage. It truly is one of the premier farms on our fall tour!
A couple fun facts about Bonnybrook:
-The original run. Bonnybrook Farms was the first to host The Great Pumpkin Run back in 2012.
-Bonnybrook Farms is new(ish) to the area. They got their start decades ago in Centerville, Ohio which is about 40 minutes or so from where they are now. They relocated in order to provide a bigger setting which has proven to be a smart move: the crowds that used to visit in Centerville make the drive down there every fall!
-Their food is outstanding. Bonnybrook Farms has a top-notch kitchen nestled in the main gathering barn. Visitors can choose from house-smoked meats and numerous made-from-scratch sides. The meats are smoked daily while they whip up their comforting sides each morning.
-Highly acclaimed. They are constantly being featured in various Cincinnati publications. Ranging from nominations for best s’mores to 20 Things I Love About Cincinnati, the list of accolades continue to grow!
